About this Product
This stunning 24-inch necklace features a graceful graduation of lapis lazuli beads ranging from 10mm to 4mm, their deep, rich blue hues evoking the beauty of a starry night. Deep red 4mm garnets separate the rare brass Sun Baule beads, adding a bold yet refined contrast. The Sun Baule beads, approximately 12mm in size, are intricately hand-cast in traditional designs from the Ivory Coast. Increasingly difficult to find, these beads are celebrated for their unique artistry and cultural significance.
The necklace is completed with a handcrafted gold-filled clasp, thoughtfully designed for ease of use and a secure fit. This piece is a harmonious blend of vibrant gemstones, rare tribal craftsmanship, and practical elegance, making it a wearable piece of art with a story to tell.
Most items are photographed up close so that you can see their beautiful details. I do my best to ensure that the photos are as true to color as possible. Please keep in mind that color can vary from monitor to monitor and that we all see colors differently

Meet the Maker
A retired science teacher with 31 years of experience, I now channel my passion for discovery and creativity into my handcrafted jewelry business. Based in Ventura, CA, I live with my husband, Mark, and our two beloved cats, Luna and Bagel. After years of teaching, I’ve embraced this exciting chapter of artistic exploration, crafting jewelry that reflects my transformation from educator to artist.
I began making jewelry for myself and my family over 15 years ago and quickly discovered the calming, meditative joy of the creative process. What started as a personal hobby soon grew into a thriving business, with my pieces finding homes at local markets and beyond. Experimenting with color, texture, and materials keeps me inspired, and I’m always eager to learn new techniques and refine my craft.
My designs blend artistry with craftsmanship, often incorporating the warmth and character of bronze and copper alongside gemstones, glass, and other carefully chosen materials. Each necklace, bracelet, and pair of earrings tells a story, balancing traditional techniques with innovative artistry. My distinctive acrylic pour collection further reflects my love of bold color and fluid, abstract designs.

How it’s Made
My creative process is fluid and intuitive, often taking unexpected turns. The final piece is almost always very different from what I initially envisioned. Rarely do I lay out a pattern, string the beads and components, and call it done. Instead, I embrace a trial-and-error approach, arranging and rearranging materials directly on the wire to fine-tune the spacing and balance.
I often start by gathering stones, pendants, and other components—sometimes with no clear intention of using them together. I’ll stare at them, contemplating their potential combinations and what they could become. Occasionally, I use the arrangement as it was laid out; more often, though, it sparks entirely new ideas.
On lucky days, a design will spring into my mind and come together effortlessly, needing only minimal adjustments. But most of the time, the process is an evolving exploration, guided by the materials themselves.
