About this Product
This handcrafted 24-inch necklace beautifully combines lapis rondelle beads with authentic Tuareg silver elements, creating a striking blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Smooth, polished lapis beads form the body of the necklace, flecked with golden pyrite for added depth. Interspersed throughout are 1.5-inch handmade Tuareg metal beads, featuring intricate engravings that add texture and character to the design.
At the heart of this piece is a 2-inch Tuareg silver pendant from Morocco, crafted by Tuareg artisans using traditional techniques passed down for generations. For centuries, Tuareg tribespeople—nomads of the Sahara Desert—have worn pendants like this as symbols of protection against hostile supernatural forces. The geometric patterns and engravings hold deep cultural significance, representing guidance, strength, and resilience.
This necklace is more than a statement piece—it is a connection to a timeless tradition, blending history, artistry, and meaning into a wearable work of art. Perfect for those who appreciate handcrafted jewelry with a story, this piece is designed for those who seek both beauty and symbolism in their adornments.
Items are photographed up close so that you can see their beautiful details. I do my best to ensure that the photos are as true to color as possible. Please keep in mind that color can vary from monitor to monitor and that we all see colors differently.
How it’s Made
My creative process is fluid and intuitive, often taking unexpected turns. The final piece rarely resembles my initial vision. Instead of following a set pattern, I embrace trial and error, arranging materials directly on the wire to refine spacing and balance, whether I’m crafting a necklace, bracelet, or pair of earrings.
I start by gathering stones, pendants, other components—often without a clear plan—and contemplating their combinations. Sometimes the initial arrangement works, but more often, it inspires entirely new ideas.
On lucky days, a design comes together effortlessly, but usually, my process is an evolving exploration guided by the materials themselves.

Meet the Maker
A retired science teacher with 31 years of experience, I now channel my passion for discovery and creativity into my handcrafted jewelry business. Based in Ventura, CA, I live with my husband, Mark, and our two beloved cats, Luna and Bagel. After years of teaching, I’ve embraced this exciting chapter of artistic exploration, crafting jewelry that reflects my transformation from educator to artist.
I began making jewelry for myself and my family over 15 years ago and quickly discovered the calming, meditative joy of the creative process. What started as a personal hobby soon grew into a thriving business, with my pieces finding homes at local markets and beyond. Experimenting with color, texture, and materials keeps me inspired, and I’m always eager to learn new techniques and refine my craft.
My designs blend artistry with craftsmanship, often incorporating the warmth and character of bronze and copper alongside gemstones, glass, and other carefully chosen materials. Each necklace, bracelet, and pair of earrings tells a story, balancing traditional techniques with innovative artistry. My distinctive acrylic pour collection further reflects my love of bold color and fluid, abstract designs.
